The Data Architect position is based in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Description
The Data Architect will have end-to-end vision to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive Stages involved. The incumbent will need to be able to address issues of Data Migration (Validation, Clean-up and Mapping), and will need to understand the importance of Data Dictionaries. This individual will also be responsible for providing technical leadership for projects and will be accountable for the end-to-end solution delivery. Additionally, this individual will be the focal and escalation point for all technical and technical delivery issues on the effort.
A data architect will be involved in data governance practices, in data administration, in data integration, and in data modeling. Data architect will be the one establishing policies and goals for those areas. Data Architects will be the one building the conceptual architecture for Data Governance, administration, integration, and modeling. The data architect will be the primary accountable person for the design and delivery of the data solution for the business initiative.
This role drives the collaboration with all technology stakeholders including ITS teams, technology partners and vendors to ensure that the technical participants are effectively communicating and aligned on technical deliverables. This role does not have direct reports , but does lead cross-functional technical resources to deliver on desired outcomes.
Architecture Responsibilities

• Works directly with Data Analysts, Solution Architects and Vendors to understand and validate requirements and translate business requirements into technical requirements and designs
• Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
• Logical design of Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases including data flows, conception model and logical models
• Serving as a consulting resource for Delivery and Support
• Creating strategy and recommendations on a company’s future data and tech policies
• Collaborating with other team members to build the ideal database, data integration and business intelligence infrastructure and platforms

Technology Leadership Responsibilities
• Acts as the lead Technology Services representative in the delivery of technology solutions
• Provides overall technical leadership and directs teams in the delivery of technology solutions.
• Collaborates with Project Managers, Portfolio Managers and technical stakeholders to deliver on the following responsibilities for end-to-end technical delivery:
• Ensures the realization of the solution architecture, making sure it is operable & cost-effective
• Leads and drives progress on all technical delivery aspects
• Helps identify all required roles and technology resources
• Ensures the assembly of the required technical teams

• Ensures technical requirements are delivered with quality and completeness
• Drives creation of financial estimates for all phases including TCO

Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years experience as a Data Architect
• Extensive knowledge of data warehouse and BI techniques
• Leadership and strong communication to influence architecture and design decisions
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good understanding of Teradata, Informatica and Cognos – a plus
• Communications and Presentation Skills including ability to communicate data to business users
