SUMMARY:
The Product Delivery Manager Leads the development and implementation of a coordinated set of plans to deliver new products to market. This role is primarily accountable for coordinating across marketing, sales, product development, and operations to ensure the timely delivery of customer products to the market.
The Product Delivery Manager has a strong attention to detail, is comfortable working under tight deadlines, and is able to work both collaboratively as well as independently. The Product Delivery Manager is charged with making sound recommendations and offering solutions to improve upon process.
This position is full-time in the Pittsburgh, PA office.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Has overall responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating multiple product development projects.
2. Creates effort estimates and detailed project plans that define key activities, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
3. Identifies, coordinates, and manages changes to original planning assumptions, project scope, or product features.
4. Responsible for producing accurate status and managing plans, risks, and issues related to product delivery.
5. Analyzes outside vendor solutions around capacity, time, and budget, and manages vendor performance.
6. Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher levels of management.
7. Builds coalitions across the various product development, sales, marketing, and operations stakeholders, and negotiates authority to move projects forward.
8. Recognizes problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent. Evaluates alternatives and finds solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach
9. Works effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
10. Has demonstrated ability to lead and motivate delivery teams to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems.
11. Has experience facilitating the definition of service levels and customer requirements into product delivery timelines.
12. Demonstrates superior inter-personal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills.
13. Provides leadership, vision, and direction setting for both project team and business partners.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
• Minimum 5-7 years of increasingly responsible experience, with at least three years of managing complex projects
• Proven track record managing product development projects ranging from $3M – $10M in budget and encompassing 10-30 resources
• Experience managing the project plan of new products through the full lifecycle from inception through to market implementation
• Holds an outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in the use of project methodologies
• Builds coalitions across the various product development, sales, marketing, and operations stakeholders, and negotiates authority to move projects forward.
• Works effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to sit for long periods of time throughout an eight-hour period. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment and able to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to move throughout the facility, communicate with others, and detect or exchange information or ideas. The incumbent may be required to perform functions which require the manual operation of general office productivity and equipment.
