The Chief Financial Officer, (CFO) has overall financial and operational responsibility for the North America business. The CFO will be responsible for enhancing the internal organization processes and infrastructure to continue to grow and meet it’s financial and operational goals. The CFO reports to the Americas Regional CFO and manages the Finance and Operations functions. The position is based in Manhattan, NY
Responsibilities:
Financial Operations
Manage and oversee all financial and business planning activities including:
• Work with the Senior Management to develop short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals
• Direct and administer all financial plans
• Oversee business policies and accounting practices
• Review and analyze financial reports
• Lead and support the organizational budgeting process
• Oversee reporting and monitoring of organizational performance metrics
• Provide overall financial oversight and monitoring
• Determine staffing requirements – interview, hire and train new employees – manage staff and ensure their professional development
• Present relevant financial data to the President, and Board.
• Ensure client financial activities are consistent, profitable, and meet client objectives
• Ensure compliance with SOX, government reporting, tax requirements and financial practices
• Oversee the development and negotiation of client contracts and agreements including MSAs, KPIs, and SLAs
Internal Operations
• Support and advise the Management in decision making
• Oversee risk management and legal activities: letters of agreement, contracts, leases, and other legal documents and agreements
• Manage the procurement and monitoring of our business insurance
• Organizational reporting and monitoring: provide guidance and leadership.
• Facilities and real estate: oversee administrative functions for all Americas office,
ensuring smooth daily operations
• Develop and execute cohesive operating process/process improvements
• Establish and implement quality standards for assigned departments
• Set operational and/or performance goals for assigned departments which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals
• Establish and manage relationships with senior agency partners.
Job requirements:
• Minimum of ten years of experience in business management, finance, planning, and staff management
• Must have managed a growing operation and have in-depth experience in agency or production environments in a senior finance role
• A minimum of three years of experience working with a board of directors and committees
• College graduate or equivalent experience
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
• Effective problem-solving and mediation skills
• Excellent client relationship management skills
• Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast – paced office setting
• Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations
