Job Description and Requirements:
a. Bachelor’s degree obtained through a formal 4-year program required.
b. Candidate must have 6 years direct experience with building and supporting the Core Cerner application.
c. Must have experience supporting system upgrade, and major system installations. Command center coordination and support preferred.
d. Ability to understand Cerner data models and to audit those systems as well as a strong understanding of data interchange between multiple healthcare and business applications required.
e. Candidate must have extensive experience with Cerner Security, Charting, Command Language (CCL/Discern Explorer), HL7 Interfaces, Charge Services and Software Services Package processing.
f. Candidate must have proven analytical, communication, customer service, leadership skills and will be expected to manage multiple projects at various levels of complexity. Candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to problem solve quickly and in a fast-paced environment.
g. Successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, project leadership skills and have actively worked in a strong matrix team environment.
h. Extensive experience working directly with clinicians is preferred. Candidate should also be familiar with change control and project management.
i. Participates in on-call support rotation.
