BASIC SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, managing casino systems and databases. This entails creating and implementing systems strategies to provide leads to the Casino Sales Team, automate the customer booking process, and enhance player experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create strategies to develop and enhance existing casino systems into an aggregate source for revenue management, patron prospecting, and casino sales.
Manage vendor relationships for all casino systems becoming the conduit for all ship side and corporate communications.
Develop and implement fleet wide system, hardware, and data standards for all casino systems including video arcades.
Architect and maintain casino systems model to consolidate all data streams into a centralized repository developing a holistic data model used for direct marketing, sales, and booking engines.
Manage system based projects for new installations, product enhancements, and version upgrades.
Initiate and execute strategic plans relating to casino systems onboard ships, booking tools utilized by reservations agents and group coordinators, and casino data accessed by decision science tools.
Support Aristocrat’s Oasis 360 and Konami’s Synkros player tracking systems used throughout the fleet ensuring downtime of no more than 1%.
Support Genesis’s Bravo table game tracking software and other casino systems used throughout the fleet.
Develop and execute strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of casino and arcade operations.
Keep current with new technology providing strategies for future development and acquisitions, making recommendations to senior management.
Develop, enhance, and support proprietary systems for customer acquisition strategies, player loyalty programs, and partner development.
Maintain a positive business relationship with all appropriate internal and external partners.
Create analytical reporting tools to be used by departmental managers.
Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
Troubleshoot system to ensure data integrity, completeness and accuracy.
Analyze and interpret gaming activity to identify areas of strength and improvement.
Perform security audits, system upgrades, and ad hoc projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration or related field of study; or equivalent combination of education, skill and work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum five years experience in technical support with three years supporting Aristocrat Oasis 360 and/or Konami Synkros products.
Understanding of database design, application administration, and Crystal Report development and/or Micro Strategies report development.
Prior casino environment work experience in a technical role required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Solid applied knowledge of Aristocrat Oasis 360 systems or Konami Synkros, Crystal Reports design or Micro Strategies, and Microsoft SQL reporting tools.
Working knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining Windows 7.
Knowledge of or ability to learn business operations such as casino gaming operations, casino marketing, keno, interactive television functions.
Strong data analysis skills.
Strong SQL scripting skills.
Ability to independently handle project management, operations and applications design, network design, implementation and support, monitoring applications, documentation and production support.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills to work with internal business owners and vendors on system specifications, requirements and recommendations.
Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team based environment.
Ability to be on call via email, phone and urgent travel needs, when deemed necessary by management, to support shipside enterprise system issues.
Ability to travel on very short notice in order to resolve issues onboard.
Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Transport Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card along with a Miami Seaport security access card strongly preferred.
