AVAYA / VOIP Systems Engineer REQUIRED Skills:
1. Avaya Communication Manager (This is Key)
2. Nortel Option 11, 61, 81, CS1000, BCM, Norstar
3. Proficient Knowledge of VoIP Implementation and support including IP Phone/trunks and IP networking
4. SIP Protocol
Must skills:
· Expert knowledge of Avaya Communication 5.2.X in a distributed environment (Avaya Call Manager, Avaya Modular Messaging, Avaya Definity, Avaya Definity Audix, Avaya Intuity Audix, Avaya Call Management System)
· Expert knowledge of VoIP (H.323 and SIP) and TDM (ISDN)
· Expert knowledge of CTI applications in a Call Center environment
· Expert knowledge of VXML-based IVR Systems
· Working knowledge of Linux Administration
· Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as a productive member of a team
· Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Demonstrate capability to achieve results under pressure.
· Manages time effectively and according to priorities.
· Technical and customer support skills to troubleshoot hardware
· Ability to follow detailed technical instructions related to installations and troubleshooting.
· Cisco CCNA-Voice or equivalent experience would be preferred.
· Experience with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls would be preferred
· Experience with Cisco Unified Communication products (Cisco CallManager, Cisco Unity/Unity Connection, Cisco Contact Center would be preferred
B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred. Will typically have at least 3 years’ experience, including large enterprise experience. May have one or more technical or professional certifications.
