This position encompasses the dual role of Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and Project Management (PM) functions. As a BSA, this position is responsible for operational effectiveness and excellence of the business units. As a PM, ensure that project deadlines and deliverables are met to the satisfaction of the business units.
The Project Manager Analyst is responsible for the data analysis, change impact modeling and management of information as related to the performance of projects, programs and holistically the portfolio.
Additionally, the Project Manager Analyst is accountable for developing and ongoing operations of reporting mechanisms covering program and portfolio financials, resources, risks/issues, and task dependencies.
Responsibilities
- Design new I.T. solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity
- Work closely with business units and I.T to analyze business models and data flow
- Conceptualize logical and innovative solutions to solve complex business problems
- Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
- Design Use cases and work flows, document Requirements as necessary
- Lead the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) effort to present proposal to business units for approval
- Ensure NCL standards are met and that the project is SOX compliant
- As a Project Manager oversee the implementation of the new system
- Develop project plans, conduct weekly status meetings
- Participate in steering committee meetings to escalate issues to the business sponsor and I.T management
- Work closely with developers on tasks in the project plan to ensure they meet the Requirements/Design
- Tracks project costs, co-ordinate with I.T. teams to resolve task conflicts between various projects, participate in Program Management Office (PMO) meetings to represent the project
- Good interpersonal skills; ability to handle difficult people; consensus building, diplomacy, strong managerial skills are all required.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Oversee that outsourced Vendors/ Consultants conduct user training and develop user training manuals
- Work in a team environment to assist in QA, other project tasks as deemed necessary
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Minimum qualification is Bachelors in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration
- Masters degree preferred
- PMP certification preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Four to Six years in a similar role
- 2+ years experience developing, administering and reporting on Project Schedules
- Experience in a project office or analytical role a plus
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to work independently of direct supervision.
- Advanced understanding of applications with focus on data analysis (Excel, Access) project planning (MS Project), and presentation (Visio, PowerPoint, Word) tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver quality artifacts in boxed time frames.
- Strong written, verbal and online communication skills.
