JOB TITLE: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst – IT
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review system and technical processes for daily system operation. This includes assuring all reporting and parameter maintenance has been properly applied to the systems.
- Conduct Unified Process studies and surveys to obtain workflows for business analytics interfacing with IT Business Systems Analysts.
- Coordinates the development and implement solutions with the IT Systems Development team and Vendors.
- Develops and enhances quality assurance procedures for IT
- Clearly define objectives and possible obstacles to implementation of business concepts with IT Business Systems Analysts.
- Lead meetings to achieve determination of the obstacles and problem solving sessions with appropriate parties.
- Coordinates new software release testing and conversion.
- Prohibits software from going into production based on IT quality requirements.
- Implement and maintain defect reporting/status during testing process.
- Oversee multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques.
- Act as a liaison between departments by maintaining lines of communication for effective and timely implementation.
- Maintain QA documentation of new procedures.
- Implement and maintain software change request procedures.
- Participate and coordination of reporting, security, and automated help processes.
- Report on all vendor change requests as determined by management
- Analyze software improvement requests to review inclusion of sufficient documentation for development
- Manage and administer the activities of subordinates whether employee or contractual.
Requirements and Experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum five years experience in technical QA of software development; Preferred experience on Quality Assurance techniques on application in-house developed software code or software package solutions.
Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of the Rational Unified Process and QA processes are highly desired. Strong PC skills. Additional experience in some or all of the following areas is required: project management, implementation and support, monitoring applications, documentation and RUP context diagramming. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective upper management communications. Reports to the Director of Systems Development. Interacts with personnel of the company at all levels. Coordinates efforts with IT Systems Development and IT Business Systems Analysts to maintain the expected levels of daily systems operation.
