The UX/UI Developer is based in Miami
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a bright, energetic UX / UI Developer to join our team to create fun new social games for the mobile web platforms. The person we’re looking for needs to have a solid understanding of user-centered design principals. Our ideal candidate is that unique mix of visual and interaction design who understands how users interact with information and can deliver intuitive, innovative, yet simple solutions. As the UX / UI Developer, you will work with a small team to collaborate on exciting sports games under the direction of the COO. You will explore and create the user experience, interface and look and feel of our titles, contributing with anything from concept sketches, wireframes and mock-ups to finished production-ready art for use in a game using Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Responsibilities include:
* Provide Thought Leadership: Provide effective thought leadership with the ability clearly explain the latest concepts and understanding to product / business leaders; Provide guidance on incorporating user research methodologies into the product design and development lifecycles
* Gather Requirements: Conduct brainstorming sessions with internal design team members and stakeholders to define visual design direction; Gather internal and external requirements and create overall UX concept and strategy
* Design: Transform ideas into well-structured, efficient, user experience; Conceptualize new design solutions – bringing them to life through comps, wireframes, rapid prototypes, and final designs and templates; Develop the full stack of UX deliverables, from personas and storyboards, to information architecture and interaction design, to UI design and wireframes, as well as visual standards
* Manage A/B Testing: Design, develop and launch testing, targeting and optimization activities; Test marketing messages, product descriptions, calls-to-action, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, target URLs behind a link, etc.
* Develop: Take design from concept development through execution and front end implementation
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY
We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in user interface design who consistently comes up with creative solutions and new ideas. The ideal candidate will have:
* Must have an online portfolio
* 4+ years practical UX and web design experience working in interactive media
* Expert understanding of UX / UI design best practices and interactive design fundamentals
* Strong knowledge of front end standards such as JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, & HTML5
* Ability to translate flow charts and wireframes into fun, usable, visually polished UI systems
* Mastery of Photoshop and / or Illustrator
* Experience working in Bootstrap
* Intuitive understanding of UX (user experience) flows is a must
* The ability to translate a document into a wireframe
* Strong cross-functional communication skills: verbal, written and visual
* Ability to produce high-quality work quickly, iterating toward the best solutions
* Know how to work on a team (and enjoy it)
* Previous work in a startup environment is preferred
