Position Summary:
Administers entire domain, including management of servers, user accounts, computer accounts, security groups, organizational units, and group policies. Ability to interface with help desk and related staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the production environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General maintenance of all servers in the development, testing and production environments running the Windows operating system. Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose any Windows related problems.
Manage and administer all of our VMware infrastructure
Build production servers to standards. Specifications may vary depending on the function the server will perform.
Assist Helpdesk and other administrators with any domain level tasks or troubleshooting issues.
Work closely with Senior Windows Architect on the implementation of various projects.
Provide guidance to junior level administrators at the local and remote offices.
Required to be on call 24×7 for emergencies
Specific Duties:
Administer the entire server farm
Administer entire organization using Active Directory Services.
Build servers for various projects according to specific requirements.
Assist other IT administrators or Project Leads on various projects involving the Windows OS or Active Directory Services.
Assist Helpdesk on a daily basis with troubleshooting issues that are server related or involves Active Directory.
Required Skills
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
A thorough knowledge of Active Directory Infrastructure at an expert level
An expert knowledge of VMware infrastructure
Experience working in a mid-size to large corporation with a complex networking environment
Self motivated individual capable of working independently with little guidance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Expert Knowledge of , DNS, WINS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Security, Diagnostics tools
Additional skills are a plus: IIS, IAS, VPN, SQL,,Citrix
Required Experience
Education/Experience Requirements:
B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience
VCP certification
MCSE, MCSA certifications or equivalent experience
5+ yrs experience in a distributed corporate Windows environment
5+ yrs experience as an administrator of Active Directory
