Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities
-Experience in automated control systems including, but not limited to, design and programming PLCs (Omron, AB), HMIs, and VF drives
-Proficient with ladder logic programming with Rockwell PC applications such as RS Linux, RS NetWorx and RS Logix 5000
-Familiar with Allen Bradley Panelbuilder 32 & Factory talk HMI applications
-Experience with VF drives, specifically AB drives
-Proficiency with PLC networking configurations for Ethernet, DeviceNet, DH+, DF1
-Ability to read and understand standard electrical schematics and be skilled in troubleshooting control systems during start up and debug
-Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with AutoCad
-Autonomous and a Team Player
-Travel – 25% domestic and international which includes occasional site visits to client worksites
– Technical writing
-Stepper & Servo Drive Systems
-Motion Controllers
Experience
BS – Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent education.
4+ years of experience in PLC systems analysis and programming of PLC logic
4+ years of experience with PC operating / application software as Microsoft Office
Ability to organize and effectively convey technical information
Proven ability to interact with users, engineers & vendors is a must.
Skills that you will need:
Highly desired skills (not required): -Wonderware or other SCADA/HMI packages -AB & Omron PLC’s and HMI’s -Structured Text and Function Block programming * Working knowledge of SCADA Technology & relational databases (i.e., Wonderware, SQL, etc.). * Exposure to network environment including knowledge with data & voice communications. * Visual Basic
