Broad Function:
Carvechi is hiring for a SQL Developer in miami or Remote.
The SQL developer translates requirements into functional specifications and will work cooperatively and effectively to deliver products according to specifications and schedule. The SQL Developer impacts the design and development of the core product, including existing and new applications and services. He/She helps design solutions, makes recommendations, and participates in design reviews.
Performance Responsibilities:
• Build integration routines using SQL Server Integration Services
• Build reports using SQL Reporting Services
• Assist in the creation of databases and database objects (tables, stored procedures, and functions)
• Maintain applications using Microsoft technology including: ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, VB, and MS SQL Server
• Data gathering and cleansing- responsible for cleansing the data and ensuring it is usable prior to performing analysis
• Industry standards for scrubbing and validating data
• Assist in the production of automated reports
• Communicate with end-users as required
• Assist in associated projects as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field preferred or
Associate’s degree with relevant work experience
• Must have a licensed version of Visual Studio
• 3-5 years experience as a developer utilizing SQL Server and Microsoft .NET technologies
• Strong skills developing in SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services
• Competent in Data marting and Data warehousing
• Third party Application Support Experience
• Development of complex SQL code including queries, triggers, stored procedures, tables, creating views, constraints, and functions
• Experience troubleshooting serves and software
• System Administration experience
• 5 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher.
• Any Java programming experience is nice to have but not required
• Experience in n-tier development using Service Orientated
• Architecture (SOA), Component Based Development (CBD) and Object
• Oriented Development (OOD) a plus.
• Experience in ORM (nHibernate, Entity Framework) a plus
• Assist in projects as needed
