The FileMaker Pro Database specialist will be responsible for the planning and implementation of a FileMaker Pro and Access databases for The HistoryMakers videotaped oral history collection. Position is based in Chicago
The archivist will:
• Work with a FileMaker Pro Database to update and clean data and to pull reports
• Work on continued development, maintenance, and administration of FileMaker Pro database and Microsoft Access contact database;
• Manage and proofread the data entry of other employees,
• Ensure that all datasets are being properly recorded;
• Research new software and technology for use by research and administrative staff;
• Work in partnership with staff on an ongoing basis to improve and maintain existing functionality in both project databases and websites;
• Work with Drupal-based website to ensure that all appropriate data is being uploaded.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in computer science, information technology, library science with a concentration in archival management, or other related field.
